"Tantum ergo"—David Conte

A live recording of the English première, sung by Schola Adventus, directed by Paul M. Ellison at Solemn Evensong and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament at All Saints' Church, Margaret Street, London, on Sunday, December 18, 2005. Schola Adventus were the first visiting choir ever to be asked to join All Saints' Choir, at the kind invitation of then Music Director, Paul Brough. If you listen carefully, you can hear the thurible swinging! This piece and its companion, "O salutaris Hostia," were commissioned by Church of the Advent to mark Dr. Ellison's fifteenth anniversary as Director of Music in 2005, where they received their première on Sunday, October 16, 2005. The y have since been published by E. C. Schirmer as Two Hymns in Honour of the Blessed Sacrament (EC.6598).
