Schola Adventus sings at High Mass every Sunday at 11 a.m. and on some major feast days. If you aren't able to attend in person, please consider joining us on the live-stream found on the Parish's Facebook page. Please see the link below. Each week, the Gregorian propers are sung to the traditional chants in Latin (translations are provided in the bulletin). Advent is the only Episcopal church in the Bay Area where these can be heard. During Lent this year, the ordinary will be sung to John Merbecke's setting of the Holy Communion, which dates from 1550. Each week, an anthem and communion motet are also offered. During this season, organ preludes and postludes are suppressed, with the exception of Laetare Sunday, where they will again be heard.
The weekly vigil Latin Mass is live-streamed every Saturday at 5 p.m. The propers are sung to the traditional Gregorian chants and the congregation joins in the Ordinary, sung to the traditional Lenten setting, Deus genitor alme.
