The Power and the Glory

The scene: post revolutionary Mexico, in one of those states which as a part of the anticlerical backlash has abolished the Roman Catholic Church and prescribed the penalty of death for any priests remaining. The "protagonist" a Roman Catholic priest on the run in one of these states -- more than incidentally an alcoholic, the father of a child -- deciding how to live from day to day in the evolving circumstances. Discussion, led by Richard Stookey, will follow evening prayer and a light Mexican supper Tues, 23 March. Please sign up in Lathrop Hall to ensure an accurate count for the supper.
